3rd Series Test Description
The 3rd Series test will be a Land/Water Double at "The Terraced Field." 48 dog/handler teams will start this series. Phil Heye has said this series has an anonymous sponsor – Thank you!

Land/Water Double
The 3rd series mat is faces NorthWest overlooking a field that has terraces curving from right to left forming a bowl shape. This test will have a Hen Duck Flyer and a Hen Duck. There is a hay bale directly in the center of the field, with a winding piece of water at the base of the bowl that comes into play on the Long Dead Hen Duck station
Bird # 1 is the dead Hen Duck station. The gun station is in front of the mat to the handlers Left. The bird is thrown Right to Left along a line of heavy cover. The line to this bird will take the dog down a terrace, over a mound, up a levee, across a finger of water and then out across the field to the bird which lands approximately 230 yards from the mat. If the dog avoids the mound or the water, it will push the dog into a gap and portion of the field with no bird. (LEFT)
Bird # 2 is the Hen Duck Flyer station. The gunners are located just to the handlers Right on the Right side of the pond. They will throw and then shoot from Left to Right with the bird landing approximately 160 yards from the line. There is a stand of cedars right of the guns, and the bird will land to the right of those cedars. (FLYER)
