Land/Water Double
The 4th series is a Land and Water Double with mixed birds. The test is located on a hillside against a tree line with the mat is facing Northwest. This test is divided by a large clump of cedars.
Bird # 1 is a Hen Duck. The gunners are located on the the far hill to the handlers left. These gunners will shoot and then throw the Hen angled back from Left to Right across an opening towards the tree line, landing in low, dense ground cover approximately 255 yards from the mat. The line to this bird will take the dog down a hill, across the pond and over a road where they will need to angle right up the far hill to locate the bird. (LEFT)
Bird # 2 is a Rooster Pheasant. These gunners are located on the same side of the road as the line from the mat to the handlers right. The dog must go down the hill, through a draw, up the next hill and out across the field and the road further down to locate their bird. The gun station is located next to the road. They stand, then shoot and then throw their Rooster Right to Left across the road landing approximately 180 yards from the mat in a line of cover. (RIGHT)
This test will take approximately 4 minutes per dog to complete.
